Stockholm / Helsinki, January 14, 2026 – Collaboration Art, a Nordic marketing group backed by Investment AB Spiltan, has acquired Genero.
As a result of the transaction, Genero and its founders enter a new phase of international growth as part of a broader Nordic group. Under the new structure, Genero’s founders, partners, and A-lehdet will transition into shareholders in Collaboration Art (CA), reinforcing their long-term commitment to the group’s collective growth.
With this, Genero is entering a new chapter.

After 16 years of building Genero into one of Finland’s leading growth marketing agencies, we are becoming part of Collaboration Art — a Nordic group of specialist digital agencies.
This step supports our long-term ambition: to help build the next generation of growth companies and to be a trusted partner where marketing meets finance — and where growth is made profitable.
Genero is regarded as one of Finland’s top-tier agencies in digital growth, performance marketing, and customer value creation. The company will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership, while gaining access to Collaboration Art’s shared platform for technology, data, and operational scale.
“We see enormous potential in combining our expertise in growth marketing with CA’s Nordic platform. For our clients, this means we now have the resources to scale their businesses across all Nordic markets using even more advanced AI and automation tools,” says Rasmus Östman, co-founder and CEO of Genero.
Genero will play a key role in Collaboration Art’s continued Nordic expansion, with Finland as a strategically important market for digital growth.

Scaling Genero’s vision across the Nordics
For Genero, the partnership is about accelerating growth while staying true to its core values.
“Five years ago, we set an ambitious goal to become a leading Nordic growth agency, and joining Collaboration Art is a massive leap toward that vision,” says Rasmus Östman, co-founder and CEO of Genero.
“This is about scaling up, not selling out. Our founding partners are becoming partners in Collaboration Art and remain fully committed to building a collective that truly bridges the gap between marketing and profitable growth. By gaining access to a broader network and deeper expertise, we are now better equipped than ever to help Nordic companies grow.”
As part of Collaboration Art, Genero gains access to a broader Nordic platform and shared capabilities that strengthen how we support our clients:
- Nordic scale and local presence across Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark
- Access to a network of 200+ specialists across growth strategy, performance, distribution, data, and technology
- Increased resources to develop our services, processes, and proprietary tools – including Aktio.io
This means stronger support when scaling across markets, deeper expertise when needed, and continued focus on measurable, profitable growth.
“We are truly happy and proud of how Genero has grown and developed. Its entrepreneurial mindset, continuous innovation, and strong customer focus have been key drivers of this success. Together, we have scaled Genero into a leading player in Finland, while the company has also developed groundbreaking technological solutions, such as the Aktio.io AI tool designed for its clients,” says Heli Arantola, CEO of the A-lehdet Group, who also served as Chair of the Board of Genero Oy until the transaction.

Built on people. Strengthened by scale.
Collaboration Art focuses on acquiring mid-market digital agencies with a strong people-driven DNA. Traditionally, these agencies have built their competitive advantage through tightly integrated teams, experience and relationships. The group’s ambition is not to replace this model – but to evolve it.
“Genero is exactly the kind of company we want to partner with,” says Fredrik Sellgren, founder of Collaboration Art.
“Strong culture, deep specialist competence and a clear focus on customer value. Our belief is simple: the future of digital marketing belongs to those who join forces, not those who try to fight alone.”
By combining human expertise with proven processes, automation and AI, Collaboration Art modularises and scales agency work, improving quality, efficiency and long-term competitiveness.
“Technology, data and AI are fundamentally changing how value is created and delivered,” says Gabriel Ghavami, Interim CEO of Collaboration Art.
“Our role is to give strong agencies a competitive edge they could not realistically build on their own – while protecting their culture, identity and client relationships.”
